Seal’s Cove Bookings, Admission & Cancellation Policy

The Reef Soft Play Bookings:

  • Sessions are on a 2.5-hour slot basis – bookable and payable online.
  • Full payment is required at the point of booking. We are not able to reserve places without payment.
  • Walk-ins are permitted, subject to availability. Walk-ins will be subject to the same session timeframes detailed on this website.
  • You may arrive anytime in your session, but we recommend arriving within the first 30 minutes to enjoy the best value for money.

Jurassic Ridge Climbing Bookings:

  • Sessions are bookable and payable online.
  • Full payment is required at the point of booking. We are not able to reserve places without payment or to take payment on arrival.
  • We endeavour to ensure all bookings will run as scheduled, however, in the event of a forced closure that is outside of our control, we will contact customers as soon as possible to re-schedule their course or session. Bookings will be re-scheduled subject to availability and vouchers issued for any course or session where an alternative date cannot be found.
  • We are unable to offer refunds or transfer dates on our term-time Dynos tuition once the course has started.
  • We are unable to offer refunds on our ‘Learn to Climb’ or other pre-booked courses once the course has started.

General Cancellation/ Accidental Bookings:

  • Booking amendments can be made subject to availability, 7 days before the date of your session.
  • Refunds cannot be processed within the 6 days before a booking and refunds can only be processed 7 days or more before the date of attendance.

The Reef Soft Play Admission:

  • Please do not arrive earlier than 10 minutes prior to the booked session start time to avoid creating queues.
  • Ensure all adults in your group are aware of our rules of play.
  • Children must always be supervised by an adult over 18.
  • We require at least 1 adult per 5 visiting children to ensure the appropriate level of supervision is maintained.
  • Those in charge of the child/children are solely responsible for the control, care and safety of the child/children at all times whilst at Seal’s Cove. Seal’s Cove cannot accept any such responsibility.
  • Those in charge of the child/children are under no circumstances allowed to leave the centre without taking the child/children within their care with them.
  • Our Under 3s area and Under 2s areas are strictly for children of those age groups. Although we have staff in the facilities, it is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to ensure that only children of the correct age play in these areas.
  • To ensure the safety of our visitors any damage to the play equipment must be reported to a member of staff.
  • Seal’s Cove takes no responsibility for lost, damaged or stolen property whilst within the centre. Found items will be donated to charity if not collected within 14 days.
  • No food, drink or chewing gum inside the soft play.
  • No Vapes are to be taken into the soft play.
  • Only food and drink purchased at Seal’s Cove may be consumed on site.
  • There is an allergen guide available for our menu at Seal’s Cove. Please note that we handle all allergens in our kitchen. Please talk to one of our team if you need any further guidance who will be happy to help!
  • Birthday cakes purchased outside of Seal’s Cove can only be brought onto and consumed on the premises as part of our party package.
  • If your child becomes unwell, they should no longer use the play equipment.
  • Visitors who appear under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be refused entry without a refund.
  • Our rules of play must be observed at all times.
  • Aggressive behaviour (verbal or physical) will not be tolerated, and we reserve the right to remove anyone and ask anyone, child or adult, to leave if their behaviour is likely to threaten the safety or enjoyment of others.
  • Visitors will not be re-admitted to Seal’s Cove once they have left or have been asked to leave the centre.
  • We reserve the right to restrict play sessions to 2.5 hours during busy periods during weekdays. This will be communicated at Reception. On the weekends & holiday/out of term times we restrict play to 2.5 hour sessions.
  • Visitors are welcome to take pictures of their children but, when doing so, we ask you to make every effort to ensure you only take images of children that are in your group.
  • In the event of an accident, please contact a member of our team, who will notify a qualified first aider who will record the accident in our accident books and may be able to offer first aid treatment.
  • We operate a strict no smoking or vaping policy within the premises.

Jurassic Ridge Climbing Admission:

  • For all sessions; please arrive 10 minutes prior to your session start time and ensure that a waiver form is signed and still valid to avoid any delay to starting your session.
  • If you or any of your group are experiencing COVID symptoms, or have experienced any symptoms of diarrhoea or sickness in the 48 hours prior to your visit, please contact us to reschedule your visit to another day.
  • Visitors who appear under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be refused entry without a refund.
  • We operate a strict no smoking or vaping policy within the premises
  • Photography of your own group is permitted. Please make every effort to avoid taking images of other children and adults.
  • Only participating visitors may enter the climbing wall area.
  • In the event of an accident please contact a member of our team, who will notify a qualified first aider who will record the accident in our accident books and may be able to offer first aid treatment.
  • Our Safety Rules must be observed at all times.

The Reef Soft Play Clothing & Equipment:

  • Socks must be worn at all times. Socks can be purchased from Reception.
  • Shoes must not be worn on any of the play equipment.
  • Shoes must be worn in both the party room and the toilets.
  • Children must remove spectacles (unless shatterproof), jewellery and any sharp and/or loose objects, including badges, before entering the play area.
  • It is strongly advised that all limbs are covered by nylon-free clothing to avoid potential friction burns – particularly whilst using the slides. Leggings are available for purchase at Reception.
  • Clothes with toggles, ropes, hoods and cords should not be worn.
  • Lockers are provided for guest use to store valuables. Seal’s Cove take no responsibility for lost, damaged or stolen property whilst in the venue. Found items will be donated, recycled or disposed of if not collected within 14 days.

Jurassic Ridge Climbing Equipment, Clothing and Belongings:

  • Personal shoes (such as trainers) can be worn instead of rock shoes. These will need to be clean to be allowed on the wall.
  • Equipment and shoe hire is included in our instructed sessions (shoe hire subject to availability).
  • Liquid chalk is permitted and is purchasable from our team. We do not permit any other forms of chalk.
  • Shoes must be worn in the climbing wall rooms, lobby and toilet areas.
  • Jewellery must be removed before climbing, if possible, to prevent serious injury.
  • It is strongly advised that all limbs are covered.
  • Clothes with hoods, toggles, ropes and cords should not be worn or tucked in.
  • Lockers are provided for guest use to store valuables. Seal’s Cove take no responsibility for lost, damaged or stolen property whilst in the venue. Found items will be donated, recycled or disposed of if not collected within 14 days.
  • Experienced climbers – if you are providing your own equipment it must be passed for use by one of our climbing team. Please ensure you allow time for us to do so prior to your session start time.

ABC Participation Statement:

All climbing activities have a risk of serious injury or death. Participants must recognise that even if they follow all good practice, there may still be the risk of accident and injury. It is the responsibility of the participant to adhere to the conditions of use.

BMC Participation Statement:

The BMC Participation Statement says that: The BMC recognises that climbing and mountaineering are activities with a danger of personal injury or death. Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions.

Community & Fundraising Policy:

Seal’s Cove are proud to support community and charity events in the local area.

We receive a large volume of donation requests for events throughout the year and wish we could support each and every one of them.

If you are planning on holding a community or charity event and would like to request a prize donation please pop us an email to the address below.  We will try our utmost to arrange a prize donation but are unable to guarantee a donation to all requests.
